All About IAT 2026 🔥 | Course, Eligibility, Syllabus, Pattern & Seats Explained | IISc and IISERs
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Mohali is one of India's seven IISERs — autonomous Institutes of National Importance under the Department of Higher Education that integrate undergraduate and postgraduate science education with cutting-edge research. The flagship programme is the 5-year Integrated BS-MS Dual Degree across Biology, Chemistry, Earth & Climate Sciences, Mathematics and Physics. Admission is exclusively through the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) followed by a centralised counselling round shared across all IISERs. Selected students are eligible for INSPIRE Scholarship of ₹80,000/year. PhD and Integrated PhD programmes admit through GATE / CSIR-UGC NET / JEST scores with an interview round.
