GSTN NEW REGISTRATION PART B

The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) operates the unified GST portal that delivers registration, return filing, payment, and refund services across the Centre and all States. Every registered taxpayer is allotted a 15-character GSTIN derived from PAN. The 'Search Taxpayer' service lets buyers, suppliers and auditors verify whether a GSTIN is currently active, the legal name and trade name, registration date, taxpayer type (Regular, Composition, Casual, ISD), and jurisdictional officer. Compliance ratings and the return-filing history (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) are also surfaced for due-diligence. The service supports both UI search and bulk API verification under the GSP/ASP framework.
