Applications are now open for CLAT 2026, the national-level entrance exam for undergraduate and postgraduate law programs at 24 National Law Universities. Candidates can apply for integrated five-year LLB degrees (such as B.A. LLB, B.B.A. LLB, B.Com LLB, B.Sc LLB, and B.S.W. LLB) or one-year LLM programs. The Consortium of National Law Universities manages the entire process, including a centralised online application, preference selection for NLUs, and five rounds of seat allocation. Many private and state public law colleges also consider CLAT scores for admission. Note that National Law University Delhi does not accept CLAT and holds its own separate AILET exam.
