The Domicile Certificate is a government-issued document issued as proof of permanent residence within the State / UT, used for state-quota in education and employment, scholarships, and resident-only welfare schemes. Citizens, employers, educational institutions, scholarship boards and government recruiters verify the authenticity of any Domicile Certificate issued in Meghalaya by entering the application reference number, holder's name and date of issue. The verifier page returns issuance status, holder demographic data and the certificate's validity period.
