CLAT 2026 is the consolidated entrance test for admission to integrated five-year B.A./B.B.A./B.Com/B.Sc/B.S.W. LLB programmes (CLAT-UG) and one-year LLM programmes (CLAT-PG) at all 24 National Law Universities. Conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities. Some private and state-public law schools also accept CLAT scores. Counselling and seat allocation are centralised — candidates rank-order their preferred NLUs during application; the consortium runs 5 allocation rounds online. NLUD (National Law University Delhi) does not participate in CLAT and conducts its own AILET examination instead.
