All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur (AIIMS Nagpur) is an Institute of National Importance under the AIIMS Act and operates under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. The 125-seat MBBS programme admits exclusively through NEET-UG followed by counselling by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for AIIMS-quota seats; reservation policy follows GoI norms with 27% OBC, 15% SC, 7.5% ST and 10% EWS reservations. Postgraduate (MD/MS/MDS) admission is through INI-CET (Institutes of National Importance Combined Entrance Test) with AIIMS New Delhi running the centralised counselling. The institute also offers M.Sc. Nursing, M.Sc. (Medical Sciences), DM/M.Ch. and PhD programmes. Hostel accommodation is provided to all undergraduates.
