The All India Bar Examination (AIBE) is conducted by the Bar Council of India for law graduates who wish to practice as advocates in India. Candidates who have completed either a 3-year or 5-year LLB degree from a Bar Council-recognized university are eligible to appear for this exam. The AIBE 21th cycle's application process closed on 30 April 2026. The admit card is now available for download through the official AIBE portal. The exam assesses candidates' knowledge of law and their ability to practice in Indian courts. Selection is based on a qualifying written examination, and successful candidates receive a Certificate of Practice, which is mandatory for legal practice in India.
